Favorites:
Romance: The Bookseller’s Daughter, and Blue Dahlia.
Scifi/Fantasy: Game of Thrones (for restoring my faith in classic fantasy), Perdido Street Station (for the determinedly inventive baroque consistency of the damn thing), The Vor Game (for giving me more space opera in my life), Kushiel’s Dart (for being everything I want in my fantasy), and American Gods (for being just that smart).
Mystery: The Eyre Affair, for being quirky, weird, suspenseful, and utterly readable.
Fiction: Housewrights. Gorgeous book.
