The Deathly Hallows
I got home around 11 pm from my Saturday spent in the sun on a dock to find Harry Potter in my mailbox.
Rock on.

I then stayed up until 4:30 reading it, because I had to finish.
It was everything I wanted it to be. All the loose ends that mattered to me were tied up in satisfying ways. People died, were maimed, were heroic, were valiant, and redeemed themselves. The story of Severus Snape was made clear. Molly Weasley has her moment of glory. Neville becomes everything I always wanted him to be. There are gorgeous parallels between the future and the past. My hunches paid off, and I was gloriously surprised.
Harry Potter’s not for everyone. But it was just what I wanted it to be.
(I’ll probably write more later after the “OMGSPOILERS” phase has passed.)
